About Me

M. Hunter has been shaped by stories her entire life. As a child of a divorce, she found a place for herself to call her own between the pages of books. Her earliest memory of being transported to another land, another life, is while reading Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell in second grade. That wonderful, magical feeling of opening a book and forgetting where you are was intoxicating, and from then on she could never get enough.

Over the years, she picked up the habit of "critiquing" the countless books on her shelves, tsking at any errors or plot holes that somehow made it to print. She'd played with the idea of making it her career when she graduated university (the first in her family!) in 2015. But it wasn't until early 2020 that she began her editing journey on Fiverr, all while battling a severe case of Imposter Syndrome.

Looking back, she recognizes how books acted as a sort of protector throughout her life, a safe place to learn about herself and the world when the world was too loud and too overwhelming to be a part of. Now she wants to help share that magic with others who may not have had the love and support she did, to share the love of reading and the power that books have to bring people together.

M. Hunter lives in beautiful Northern New Jersey where she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, watching movies, and giving herself time to explore her crafty side. Her favorite genres are fiction, fantasy, romance, and romantic thriller. She's an INFJ and an ambivert, loves a hot chai latte any time of year, can quote almost every line of her favorite movies, and strongly believes that popcorn should have its own food group.
